Lori directs grant activities for Future Quest Island, an online, universally designed and fully accessible college and career readiness adventure for all middle school students funded by the Federal Office of Special Education Programs. She has 20 years of extensive experience in designing and delivering professional development for educators on instructional resources, universal instructional design, inclusive educational practices, individualized learning plans, curriculum development, course redesign, technology integration, and assessment strategies for students from cradle to college. Lori also works across multiple projects on the Education & Transition Team at the ICI, and is a local and national speaker on universal design with technology and college and career readiness for middle school students. She has received a MassCUE Pathfinder Award, a Technology Humanist Award from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, is a STAR Discovery Educator, and is recognized as a Christa McAuliffe Teacher by the Challenger Learning Center at Framingham State University.

Press Release: Think College awarded $2.5M Stepping Up Technology Implementation Grant

Think College at the Institute for Community Inclusion (ICI) has been awarded a $2.5 million Stepping Up Technology Implementation Grant from the US Department of Education Office of Special Education Programs. The project will fund the development of Future Quest Island - Explorations: Advancing College and Career Awareness for Elementary Students with and without Disability. (10/2018)
