Exploring Early Literacy Mentoring (ECHD 487, 687) Explore the various dimensions of the mentoring role with a focus on enhancing critical early literacy knowledge, skills, and understanding for teachers of young children. Gain an understanding of adult development, stages of teacher development, and establishing mentoring relationships. Practice a number of mentoring roles, and conversations with protégés within the context of current early-literacy research. Learn how to connect the observations with the Massachusetts Preschool Curriculum Frameworks.
