Early-childhood research is developing quickly. ECS has been engaged in two federally funded research projects:

At the state level here in Massachusetts, we participated in the evaluation of out-of-school-time literacy initiatives funded through United Way in 2010.

STEM Report on professional-development needs of early-childhood educators funded through Region IV and Region VI Educator and Provider Support Grants.


An external evaluator will:

  • Help agencies pose effective research questions.
  • Collect significant data from a variety of sources.
  • Analyze data for trends, successes, and surprises.
  • Write an evaluation report.
