Libin Zhang's expertise is in research design, biostatistics, survey methodology, and mixed methods social science research. Her academic background is in sociology, focusing on social inequality, population health, and related methodology. Libin’s work at ICI focuses on community-based intervention and research that provide employment services for citizens with disabilities. She is responsible for developing, managing, and co-managing multiple vocational rehabilitation research projects and developing new opportunities and topics that support employment and community inclusion of individuals with disabilities. Prior to joining the ICI, Libin worked as a lecturer and statistician in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at UMass Boston. In that role, she conducted research on lifestyle medicine and health disparities, taught statistical/method courses, served on a dissertation committee, and provided statistical consulting for faculty and students on identification and selection of appropriate research design and methodology, as well as analytic and operational approach for internal and external grants. She served an editorial assistant for the journal <em>Sociological Methodology</em>. She is also a peer reviewer for <em>Nursing and Health Sciences, Nursing Research, Behavioral Medicine, and Social Science Quarterly</em>.
