Quinn Barbour is responsible for the social media strategy and activities at the ICI as well as still photography conducted both on location and in studio. As the press contact and public relations specialist, she strategizes and determines effective ways to communicate and deliver information to a diverse audience base while managing media outreach with UMass Boston communications staff and relevant external consultants.
Quinn manages e-marketing outreach needs, helps choose and develop promotional materials, and writes, develops and maintains content for the ICI website as well as various print publications. She also works with other members of the Marketing and Communications team to write, create, edit, and direct films.
Quinn's previous public relations experience includes interning for Presence PR in Dublin, Ireland. She recently completed the MBA program at UMass Boston with a concentration in Marketing.

Press Release: Governor Patrick Announces Funding for Regional Collaboratives
On June 25, 2009, Governor Patrick announced a grant, from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), of up to $2.5 million to develop five Regional Employment Collaboratives under Work Without Limits: A Massachusetts Disability Initiative. The Work Without Limits initiative is a partnership of the Institute for Community Inclusion at UMass Boston, the Center for Health Care Policy at UMass Medical School, and the Commonwealth’s Executive Office of Health and Human Services. Press Release: National Service Inclusion Project Awarded Multi-Million Dollar Grant
The National Service Inclusion Project (NSIP) at the Institute for Community Inclusion (ICI) and the University of Massachusetts Boston has been awarded a five-year grant. The grant will continue the relationship between NSIP, the Corporation for National and Community Service Programs (the Corporation), the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD), the National Down Syndrome Congress, the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL), the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD), and the 67 University Centers for Excellence on Disability (UCEDs).
